Public/Private Development Projects
We represent clients in all aspects of public/private development projects, from working on the funding aspects; negotiating the development agreement; negotiating the design and construction contracts; considering insurance, corporate, tax and other aspects of the development; to working on the risk allocations in the overall project and doing all of the related legal work such as leases, purchase contracts, covenants, condominiums, permitting and other land use matters. Many of these projects involve complex municipal issues such as procurement, bond financing, and eminent domain. We have represented many private clients successfully in some of the largest high profile public/ private development projects in the State, including the University Place Town Center.
