Maxa Holds Insurers Accountable for Pollution
Brad Maxa has successfully negotiated a multimillion dollar, confidential settlement with insurers that provided coverage for hundreds of polluted sites throughout Washington. Maxa represents Time Oil, a company that bought and sold gas stations and petroleum distribution stations. Cleanup of the properties has cost more than $70 million. Maxa pursued insurance coverage for a dozen years of hard-fought litigation. Though the amount of the settlement is confidential, two suits and a third claim involved a total of 116 sites and damages of $85 million.
