On January 19, 2009, The News Tribune profiled Joe Gordon Sr. in an article celebrating his 70 years as an active member of the Rotary Club of Tacoma No. 8. Joe, who turns 100 years old on March 31st, was Rotary 8 club president from 1942-1943 and still attends weekly club meetings. He also still keeps regular office hours at the GTH.
