As the housing and credit "bubble" continues to pop, many securities and mortgage frauds are being exposed for the first time. In Vancouver, Washington, several local investors discovered they had been defrauded by Richard Cano, a loan officer for GMAC. Kevin Giel, a disabled man who was defrauded by Cano, hired GTH partner Mike Shaffer to seek redress. Following a jury trial before the Honorable Robert J. Bryan, Mr. Giel was awarded all of his losses.
