Water Rights

Gordon Thomas Honeywell – Water Law Practice

Gordon Thomas Honeywell’s Water Law Practice Group is at the forefront of water resources law as people, fish, farms and industries place increasing demands on a limited resource. Our lawyers possess extensive experience and strategic creativity in an ever changing, complex and challenging area of the law. Our lawyers’ reputations for resolving complex water law problems under demanding conditions stem from successful representation of clients on nearly every facet of water law.

Water resource issues are rarely found in isolation. Our lawyers also work in other substantive areas of law such as contracts, litigation, legislation, facilitation and negotiation. Likewise, water law affects many diverse interest groups such as Indian Tribes, environmental advocates and industry advocacy groups. As such, our lawyers are very familiar with how these diverse interests may affect a successful legal outcome.

Our water law practitioners have the experience and capability to handle any water law matter. They regularly represent agricultural, industrial and municipal water users as well as mediate complex water issues. They represent clients as diverse as individual landowners trying to understand their water rights, industries undertaking a comprehensive review of their water rights portfolio and government entities seeking to develop new water resource policies. Their practice ranges from Washington through Oregon and into California.

In addition to this hands-on experience, our lawyers regularly contribute to the latest developments in water resource policy and law, including reclaimed water, aquifer storage, water banking, and other evolving areas. Our practitioners frequently participate in legal seminars and panels that explore and develop solutions to complex water law issues. Lawyers in our group are regular speakers at legal seminars and public forums. Please contact us at 253-620-6541.
