Representative Cases

• We represented a client who suffered traumatic brain injury when he was struck in the head with a golf club.  The case involved complicated issues, including the corporate defendant’s liability for the intentional acts of an employee.  The corporate defendant’s insurer denied coverage and refused to offer anything in settlement.  After taking an assignment of rights against the insurer, Zurich Insurance Company, the trial court approved a settlement of $3.5 million.  We then sued Zurich for coverage and bad-faith.  Extensive motions were filed and argued, and the case resolved for a confidential amount.


• We represented a patient insured by Regence after Regence denied coverage for complications of prostate surgery.  Regence settled for a confidential amount.
