GTH was presented the Governor’s Commute Smart Champion Award for 2011 in a ceremony held at the Governor’s Mansion in October. Pierce Transit nominated GTH based on how our commute trip reduction program stands out and that we are a voluntary participant. Our program consists of a commuter subsidy and monthly prize drawings in both offices, in addition to promoting Pierce Transit’s contests. The Governor’s Commute Smart Awards celebrate the communities, employers, and employees who have developed exemplary, comprehensive employee commuting programs.
